The tracklisting to the self titled debut album by The Almighty Defenders has been announced and it is great to see the track 'Bow Down & Die' getting a release. Thesong had been part of the Lips set for a while and the played it for the Band-Stand Busking crew earlier in the year.

The album recorded with King Khan & BBQ Show after the India exodus gets a release date of September 22nd. They album is under the monicker of The Almight Defenders. The tracks are described as 'brimming with soul, earnest shouts, cries and hand-claps over post-modern gospel-rock anthems'.
Great news to hear that 'Drugs' is being released as a single, even if it is only as a split-single. Check out the video to the right, complete with footage from 1970's Health Class films. The B-side is a cover of 'I'll Be With You' by The Horrors' Faris Rotter (nee 'Badwan') under the pseudonym Lumina. It is a UK release and is out on the 24th August...

VBS filmed the band perform acoustic versions of 'Make It' & 'Bad Kids' on their recent trip to Barcelona. Clip is on the right!
Black Lips will be heading to Rough Trade East on Brick Lane in London at 7pm on June 11th for a DJ set! But that’s not all! One lucky fan in the audience will be receiving a pair of camping tickets for the Isle Of Wight festival this weekend, where the Lips will be performing on the Saturday.
No wristbands are needed for this DJ set, so make sure you get down there and partake in the fun!

New video and mp3 added! The video is an acoustic version of 'Take My Heart' recently performed for Artrocker TV in London. The mp3 is the new Black Lips release on Sub Pop records - 'Disconnection' (this sounds like a late-era Doors outtake - a good thing in my book).

Black Lips are back in the UK and there are still tickets left for their much anticipated London show at the Camden Ballroom on Tuesday 26th May.
If you have not seen the Black Lips play live in London yet, you will not be be disappointed; take a look at the classic footage from one of their previous London shows!
'I'll Be With You' is released as the next single backed with a new track 'You Know' on the 18th May.

With a UK & European Tour looming, Black Lips have unveiled their GZA collaboration. The Wu Tang Clan rappers appears on a version on The Drop I Hold and can be heard here.

A whole Black Lips show can be streamed from this site! Recorded on Friday 13th February 2009, it captures the band prior to the release of 200 Million Thousand. The show took place in Europe (the 'Festival Generiq' @ La Vapeur, Dijon, France to be exact)
